AUTHOR'S SONG AND THE COMPETITIONS OF SINGERS. -

That author's song is in a quite complicated and difficult situation it is a sufficiently well-known fact for most of people that has always been interested by this gender and, it is obvious, also for those that are devoted and this, be for the reasons that are, some they will say, I lower my approach, not exempt of reason that all this is due to a flagrant political indifference and others will say that author's song no longer interests anybody. This is the situation that exists and this is the only objective.
But to part of all this, for some years they have proliferated in Barcelona a good number of cantautores competitions that, on the paper, they seek to diffuse the work of the creators beyond the difficult ones and more and more encorsetados commercial circuits.
The questions that we would have to make ourselves to this respect, to the margin of an entire wide fan of organization details that is sometimes faulty, with certain descoordinaciones and maybe too lingering times of wait, it is if these events really foment author's song or if to practices it they don't stop to be kind of a small Operations I Triumph necessary local and very reduced, serious au level to also wonder, if they really have institutional help or mediático, or if in fact they only become small promotion sparks that
they evaporate at once.
Another doubt, very reasonable, believes me, it is if the approaches of the jury are really coordinated and, of course, if these people that exercise the sufficiently qualified ones are or if among many of them, for my solvents, there is not some that another blowfly
that they have allowed him to infiltrate somewhere around.
And, finally, to finish this small catalog of reflections and doubts about the utility or not of the competitions
of cantautores, I will speak, shortly, of a topic that it affects and it interests a lot of people that is not another topic that that of the Catalan language.
How many artists in Catalan language they have obtained some prize in these events?
Don't they maybe exist you interpret and valid beginner composers in Catalan language, or is it that these ertamenes already gives for fact that the Catalan language is not so commercial for the simple one made of being minority and already of entrance they do grant a strong priority to those that interpret in Castilian?
It corresponds all and each one to adopt the crtietrio that more believes convenient.
